Marvel Studios has commenced principal photography at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia on “Captain America: Civil War,” the third installment of its Super Hero franchise. The production will shoot on location in Atlanta, Georgia, which serves as the base for the film’s production, as well as locations in Germany, Puerto Rico and Iceland.

*Pops champagne* Back in highschool when Civil War first came out, I read every issue while sitting on the edge of my seat. It still is to this day one of my all time favorite comic book story lines from Marvel. I suspected that one day they’d bring Civil War to the big screen but assumed it would be well into my 30s after they pumped out various super hero films to have a more robust established universe.

To find out that it’s being released only a year from Avengers: Age of Ultron is both unsettling and fracking awesome. One of the main reasons as to why I loved Civil War was it’s focus on the entire super powered community, both heroes and villains, as a whole. You see Daredevil’s reaction, Spiderman’s conflict, Punisher’s contribution to the issues at hand and so much more. However, in it’s current state, the Marvel cinematic universe is so very different from the comics that the only real storyline that seems will stay the same will be Iron Man and Captain America going to war against one another. We very well might miss clone Thor, Goliath, the hunt for Spiderman etc.

I suppose we can not be too harsh however, I would much rather have Superhero filsm that do their own thing than have no movies at all. At least the cast will be amazing!

The film returns Chris Evans (“Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron”) as the iconic Super Hero character Steve Rogers/Captain America along with Robert Downey Jr. (“Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Marvel’s “Iron Man 3”) as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson (“Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”) as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Sebastian Stan (“Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Captain America: The First Avenger”) as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie (“Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”) as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Paul Bettany (“Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Iron Man 3”) as The Vision, Jeremy Renner (“Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Marvel’s “The Avengers”) as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Don Cheadle (“Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Iron Man 3”) as Jim Rhodes/War Machine and Elizabeth Olsen (“Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Godzilla”) as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch.

What are your thoughts on Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Comic Book Universe? Do you think they should have waited and released mroe films or are they doing great already? Comment below!
