Cosplayer of the Week: Feoranna Cosplay
World of Warcraft and League of Legends are two video games that have impacted my life in major ways. I have 
poured so many hours of my life into them that it is disgusting, so it’s easy to understand why I have such a soft spot for cosplayers who tend to specialize in League of Legends or World of Warcraft cosplay. One such cosplayer is a wonderful woman by the name of Feoranna Cosplay!
I saw images of her cosplay float up on various websites that centered around both games but no one could tell mewhat the cosplayer’s name was until finally I found her tagged in another popular cosplayer’s post. I don’t think I have ever liked a page as fast as I did hers! It was great to find out that such a talented cosplayer was also kind and super dope even outside of the costume!
I just had to send her an interview request and to my surprise, she accepted! Without further ado, here is my interview with Feoranna Cosplay.
The Geek Lyfe:Â Although I have been a fan of yours for quite some time, there may be a few Geek Lyfers who have not seen your work before, would you be alright introducing yourself?
Feoranna Cosplay: Of course! grin emoticon Thanks for having me in your interview! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Katrina Fox, but I go by Feoranna Cosplay – I have been a seamstress since childhood, but didn’t venture into cosplay until 2012. I love video games, cats, good food and spending time with friends!
TGL:Â How long have you been into cosplay and what led you down this path?
FC:  As I mentioned above I have been actually cosplaying since 2012, but I would always be really creative and make my own Halloween costumes for every holiday, and even made myself some clothing from time as well. Initially what got me into legit costuming was my good friend from Portland RikkuGrape– I met her at a con that I was working at and just couldn’t wait to learn new stuff from her!
TGL: What has been your favorite moment?
FC: My favorite moment in cosplay… Oh man honestly, it has to be meeting new people! I love making new friends and meeting people who follow my work. It’s so satisfying and exciting to find people just like you in a community like this.
TGL: Most frustrating?
FC: A frustrating moment in cosplay has to be when you try so hard but just can’t get something right on a costume! I mean with practice comes perfection, but it definitely is frustrating from time to time!
TGL: When you aren’t doing this, what do you two do in your spare time?
FC: When I am not working on commissions, or cosplaying for myself I write for iCosplay Magazine, attend cons as press, watch LOTS of tv/movies (I love horror!) and I play a bunch of video games.
TGL: What geek medium(Video Games, Comic Books, Novels, Movies etc.) made the biggest impact on your life
and why?
FC: I can honestly say it was a minute of things growing up. I loved playing stuff like Animal Crossing to Resident Evil! Also of course the classics smile emoticon I’ve always been a huge horror fan, so I spent a lot of time watching scary movies. But I can honestly say that the main thing that stuck with me was Buffy! She is a perfect role model and made a lasting impression on me.
TGL: If you could take on the powers of one person you have cosplayed in the past, who would it be and why?
FC: Well honestly I think I would be Buffy Summers. She is amazing!! So strong, so lovely, and so humble. But if I were to choose a second one I think it would be pretty awesome to be Valeera from the WoW universe.
TGL:Â Do you have any projects in the near future we should be excited to see?
FC: I am working on a Project Fiora to premier at Anime Expo this year! That’s the cosplay I am most excited for.
TGL: What advice do you have for any aspiring cosplayers out there?
FC: My advice is to be strong, never give up and to push yourself! Also make sure not to take any potentially negative things you hear to heart, because if you have haters it means you’re doing something RIGHT!
