E3 2016 Recap
Another year of E3 with some ‘ohhh’, ‘ahhh’ and a lot of ‘uhhhhh’. Now to be honest, the only consoles I own are a Wii U and 3DS. I mostly just play on my PC, which is the master race of gaming. So what I’m going to go over are the games that really stuck out for me, Powerforce, as I was watching E3 this week. The top three winners of the conference were Sony, Ubisoft, and Microsoft. Sorry Nintendo, Tree House live doesn’t work for me anymore. However, we all know Nintendo Direct will be in two months or so after E3 as always. More than likely, they will then showcase their upcoming games. As for EA and Bethesda, they did an decent job.
Let’s take a small break to check out Freeplay Frenchie’s views on E3 before we continue with Powerforce!
Now that we’ve heard from Freeplay, let’s go ahead and dive back into Powerforce’s recap!
Sony
Sony by far and I’m sure all will agree, unless you’re an Xbox fan, did an amazing job. Where others would show a trailer and talk for 5-10 minutes, Sony just played gameplay trailer after gameplay trailer. They showed fantastic games such as the new God of War,  the zombie shooter Days Gone, and Brave-meets-Terminator-and-Jurassic-Park: Horizon Zero Dawn. Even others like Spider-Man PS4, The Last Guardian, and Final Fantasy XV.  Heck, even Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare looked great! That’s not all, Sony also announced its VR Headset coming October 13, 2016 (more info about the headset here.) As for games to play with the headset, Batman: Arkham VR, Farpoint, and Resident Evil 7 Biohazard all looked interesting.
Ubisoft
Ubisoft came second in my books for what they showed. They announced the new DLC’s for Tom Clancy’s The Division Underground and Survival, and another Tom Clancy game was shown, Ghost Recon Wildlands. Even a new South Park RPG game was shown, South Park: The Fractured But Whole. There were also other amazing titles like For Honor, Watch Dogs 2, and they also showed off their new VR game Star Trek: Bridge Crew.
Microsoft
Oh Xbox One, I want to love you…really I do, but making your games compatible for both Xbox One AND Windows 10 is going to make me stick with my PC. So what games did they announce that both Xbox One and Windows 10 players can play? How about Halo Wars 2, State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves, Takken 7, Dead Rising 4, GWENT The Witcher Card Game, We Happy Few, ReCore, and Gears of War 4.
Now, you must be wondering why I have Microsoft third and not first. Easy: Sony has games for it’s console that I can’t get on my PC, which forces me to buy a PS4.  Meanwhile, Microsoft doesn’t really make me feel that I need to go out and buy an Xbox One Console – I can just buy the games through the Windows 10 store. Ubisoft is second due to the fact that it’s feeding us with Divison, another open world game with strong co-op (Ghost Recon), and another South Park game. Thus, these were my top 3 conferences that stuck out most for me.

Tony AKA Powerforce is the master of playing Fox on Super Smash Bros, he loves him some JRPGs and can not get enough of indie games. Rumor has it that he is actually creating his own game! He is a solid guy in real life and will slit your throat in a table top RPG. Great guy! Loves dogs!
