Gamer Chrome-Gycio Bronze Live Streamed Their Suicide
Today a gamer by the name of Chrome-Gycio Bronze live-streamed their death. At this time we can not find a link to the footage due to Facebook taking down both their page and the stream. What we can provide are screenshots prior to the act that folks received from their page.
At this time what I have found is that the deceased was a male crossdresser(I have kept the pronouns neutral due to the conflicting reports), a fan of Super Smash Brothers Melee, and interacted heavily in various gaming communities on Facebook to the point where folks knew them. While a number of users who found out about what happened have done nothing but offer their condolences, there are a few who have sunk lower than dirt by making memes of their passing. Out of the respect of the deceased, we will not be sharing any of these images but can assure you that they exist.
I absolutely hate writing these articles. A person, filled with the potential to do great things on this earth thought so little of themselves that they decided to end it all. Not only that but they thought it would be best to do it with a virtual audience that speaks volumes to the mental state of the deceased. This is a person who needed serious attention and help from family and friends, but, as far as we know, received none.

She did the live stream on a site called ustream and hung lifelessly for over an hour before her account on stream was banned.
Her Facebook was taken down 2 hours after she posted about going live for her suicide.
Before her Facebook account was removed the status had 200+ shares and 1.6k+ comments.As I read the comments of those joking and making memes, asking for the link, I physically got sick from what I as reading. Most the comments were jokes and memes, they were overpowering the people who had been worried and were giving condolences. It was disgusting to see someone state that they had watched her hang for an hour. When I saw the screenshot of the video there was a single person who said they called the police as her body from the neck down had been on the screen.
Although I didn’t know her, I wish no one ever has to feel the way she felt.
Depression is an extremely hard battle to fight, and it is always heartbreaking when someone falls victim of depressions grip.
With how quickly her death went viral on Facebook, I think it might make it decently big news as the LGBTQ community has taken another loss as has the trans community and gaming community.
She’s in a happier place now, and is no longer hurting.

I was friends with the dude and the sad part is nothing could have stopped this from occurring.
From my messages and talks with him, he was in an awful place in life. He lived in the Netherlands, and didn’t have much going for him, socially or economically. His mom hated him, people at school hated him, and from what I could tell, I was one of the only people who actually seemed to find him decent. He also constantly reminded me that he had no proper interests and would never amount to anything, thus saw suicide as the only option. Every time I tried to tell him to stop, it would not work. This is unfortunate I must say, but he hated himself and shit hit the fan too hard. I don’t think people took his threats seriously, which is sad. I never thought he would do it, but he messaged me before I did it asking if I wanted to watch, to which I replied “no, i dont want to see it, nor do i want it to happen.” and then a few hours later it happened. All unforunate times we live in.

I was his irl friend but mostly communicated with him online, I have to say I’m disgusted by the fact that you refer to him as “her” and even called him “transgender”.
“Gycio” felt a strong hatred towards the SJW movement and similair far-left movements and so do I, he did show some interest in crossdressing in the last part of his life but this had nothing to do with his suicide and was mostly a result of a lack of female contact (this is my personal take on the things he had said to me at least). Like another person on here said: don’t use his death to push this agenda, even if he was transgender (which he wasn’t but this is just an example) his suicide was a result of loneliness and a lack of understanding from the people around him.
He was not part of this “LGBQT” community as you may cal it and he was not part of the transgender community…
I personally didn’t know this person who was taken from us too soon, and I am sad to find out about them after their passing. There has been simply too much death this year. This news might not reach bigger outlets Kotaku or Polygon but I’ll do whatever I can to spread awareness because this person does matter.

It is available 24 hours a day and might just be enough help to get you or a loved one through their day. No one should ever be made to feel that they are less than what they are, no matter the circumstance. Even those who inflict physical or verbal harm on others suffer themselves and need support, sometimes even more than their victims.

Hey Im a friend of Maksims, I would just like to confirm that he was not transgender. He actually did have a hate for these communities, he was a close friend of mine for a while before we lost touch. I just dislike people calling him “she” when he would have hated that. He messaged me about two weeks before it happened and that was the last I ever heard of him.

Local police didn’t believe me when I called it in, and no one could figure out how to help, meanwhile everyone is making shit posts on it.
As someone who has been passively suicidal (suicidal thoughts, no intent to harm, I’ve been cleaned of risk by my psych this week, I want to clarify that) this was especially hard to watch. People I knew saw the post and started making comments. They didn’t care who it was. They said “it would be different” if it was me but didn’t care because they ‘didn’t know them’.

What kills me most is that I, and many others, only found out about Chrome after they passed in such a tragic way. I feel you, man. I saw some of their previous posts as well and while they were unsettling, they just add to the case that they was unstable. I’m obviously no medical professional and am not going to try and diagnosis their issues but they were large enough to cause them to act out in such a manner and ultimately lead to their death. The reason I am writing this article is to spread awareness to others about Chrome’s situation in hopes that if you notice another friend in your community act out in certain ways, it might be enough red flags to try and talk with them or support them.
Trust me, I absolutely hate writing articles about people who have passed away. We are a geek blog that focuses on cosplay, gaming, anime etc. But at the same time, we can’t deny that being a social outcast is a huge part of being a geek, just because it’s now mainstream to be a geek doesn’t mean that a lot of us face various social issues. I know personally I’ve been down in the dumps about aspects of my life to feel so down trodden to thinking terrible ideas(Only fleeting thoughts, I’m not going to sit here and act as if I cut myself or anything).
Sorry I am kind of rambling but my main point is that Chrome isn’t the only person who has committed suicide, they aren’t the only person to have a very rocky past, and the scary thing is that they will not be the last suicide. If there was one, there has to be hundreds or even thousands who are on the edge and need help but are too afraid to ask. If we can spread awareness about what happened and it gets someone who needs help the courage to go and seek it, then I’ve done my job.

Even if I didn’t know Chrome personally, hearing about this after coming back from a fun night made me mad.
People just watched someone kill themselves live, and the fact that the police didn’t believe it when it was called just goes to show how ignorant /some/ police officers can be.
People, the holidays are a bad time for the depressed. More suicides are likely to happen around this time of year. We need to band together, and prevent them from happening as best we can.
As for the article itself, melee should be changed to Super Smash Bros. Melee. Proper game titles are important.

You are living under your parents roof, they are paying for your food, clothes, school and your well being and now they will be forever haunted by the recording of their own son killing himself and all the news as well as attention to follow. Yeah, there were many things about Chrome’s situation that were…off. To come to the conclusion that you want to end your life while others watch just eludes to just how many issues they must have been dealing with to the point of them snapping. What drives a person to take a gun to school/work and kill their peers or gather their family to take their lives and then their own? I have no idea but it happens every single day. It’s all just so heartbreaking. Especially when you consider that they might not have always been this way, at some point they must have been a kid with dreams of being something more. Who knows if they would have changed their ways if they got help and then made something of themselves. It’s just so much lost potential and their death with linger on the minds of their family for years to come.:(

There was/is a lot of confusion in the aftermath and no one is covering this tragedy so we want to present the truth of what happened while having complete respect for the deceased.
