Are games worth breaking friendships for?

To begin, I want to warn you that this is both a personal post as well as an opinion article. An overview of this article is going over an example of a situation where a very long and very strong friendship was broken to pieces by a well known video game. We'll then get down to the nitty gritty and also the deeper questions about morals, loyalty, and other questions of intentions. If you have any stories of your own where your friendship was broken over a video game, table top RPG, etc,I'd love to hear them over in the comments!

Netflix does it again: Daredevil Review

It has been quite sometime since we last saw Daredevil in live action goodness. We haven't see the defender of Hell's Kitchen since February 14, 2003 with good ol Ben Affleck taking on the role. It seemed to be another Batman and Robin situation where at the wee age of 13, both films were super rad because we had little else to compare them to. Then as we got older Avengers, Dark knight, Spider Man, Guardians of the Galaxy and even Man of Steel came out and we saw what great superhero films actually look like. Needless to say, Daredevil crashed and burned in the ranking of best comic book films.

Once the CW jumped on board with the metahuman frenzy, Arrow, GothamFlash arrived and were incredible. It's safe to say that both are at the level of entertainment of Smallville: Fun, light hearted, action packed, good guys always win, and tons of references to other heroes in the DC universe. Marvel arrived with Agents of Shield and Agent Carter, both were good as well(I'm much more of a DC fan, so there may be some bias).

Imagine the geek world's surprise when Netflix announced that they were going to be filming a Daredevil series. Everyone and their mother were shocked and awed. Netflix is known for House of Cards, Orange is the new Black, Hemlock Grove, Marco Polo and so many more spectacular shows. But could they handle doing a super hero show? A lot of their originals deal mainly with real life scenarios, realistic people who have down to earth issues like betraying people to rise in power, survive prison after living a very privileged life, become the adviser for a great and powerful Khan, find evil and defeat it using werewolf powers...oh...well never mind, it seems they are amazing at doing fantastic stories. Yes! I believe that Netflix does have what it takes to make this show great!

America Needs Post Modern Jukebox

At one point and time, Pop music was actually somewhat barely in the 80s. A new kind of music emerged with all sorts of bells and whistles. Letting go of the instruments, big bands and even singing itself in exchange for dance routines, model like figures and full coverage of their love life and other aspects of their day to day existence that had almost nothing to do with actually singing. In the 90's we had N'Sync, Back Street Boys, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and so many more. In the 2000's we had Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefani, Fergie etc. And nowadays in the 2010's we have the infamous Justin Bieber, America's sweetheart Taylor Swift, sexed up Katy Perry, weirdly awesome Lady gaga, no booty Miley Cyrus, Kesha etc. You can not flip through radio stations with out listening to multiple of their songs, which often sound very similar to one another, again and again. Songs about falling in love, falling out of love, not being understood, partying like no one is watching, getting back at that significant other that screwed you over and other teen angst. They use auto tune, they do not write their own songs, they follow the lead of the record company instead of making actual music. The end result is this annoying white noise that causes you to either cringe or go insane because the song is sickeningly catchy. The fad never lasts however, every Taylor Swift song that has come out always gets in my brain and will not go away until the next T Swift song comes out and I instantly forget the last one. The cycle happens again and again and again.

But then this happened...

Tell All Interview With Mortem3r AKA Suzy Berhow

As an indie blogger, it's incredibly difficult to get a foot in the door when it comes to interviews. Most days I reach out to various cosplayers, game companies, Youtubers, etc. in hopes of being able to get their feedback on their current project and answer a few questions in the process. So it should be no surprise to anyone that I would reach out to incredibly talented and lovely Youtuber/Let's Player Mortem3r aka Suzy Berhow. Mortem3r is a YouTuber famous for hosting Table Flip, various make up reviews/tutorials, participating in tags, and even having appearances on Steam Train. Imagine my surprise when I checked my inbox one normal afternoon to find a response! I nearly spat out my horchata all over my keyboard as I panicked about my apartment wondering whether or not this was a prank or if this was legitimate. After a quick cry in the shower I came to my senses and read her reply. She said that she'd love to answer a few questions and was humbled for the interview request. The fact that she has over 155k Subscribers and I average about 50 people viewing my article in a month should tell you that this was the equivalent of a golden goddess coming down from the heavens to speak with but the smallest of ants. Without further ado here is my...
