Cosplayer of the Week: Brookeemelia Cosplay
Good day to you all! We have a fantastic cosplayer here for you that always goes above and beyond, not only in the aspect of cosplay, but also as a human being!
This is Brookeemelia Cosplay, and she is wonderful in every single way! She has an extensive knowledge of comics, K-Pop, and more! She has been our homie for some time, and we decided she needs to have her awesome efforts showcased! Not to mention she helps out with a great charity group called Justice League AZ!

The Geek Lyfe: Although I have been a fan of yours for quite some time, there may be a few Geek Lyfers who have not seen your work before. Would you be alright introducing yourself?
Brookeemelia Cosplay: Of course! I’m Brooke, or Brooke Emelia. I’m 21 and a huge nerd for comics, video games, anime, and K-pop!
The Geek Lyfe: How long have you been into creating incredible content/cosplays, and what led you down this path?
Brookeemelia Cosplay: I’ve been cosplaying for about 3 years now! I got into it originally because I started reading Harley Quinn comics, (I’ve read pretty much all of them now) and loved how her costume looked and continuously changed with her and her moods. So, I decided I wanted to make it, and go to a con!
The Geek Lyfe: What has been your favorite moment?
Brookeemelia Cosplay: I think all of my favorite moments have come because of my work with Comicare. Getting to see children in hospitals and making them smile, even just a little bit.
The Geek Lyfe: Most frustrating?
Brookeemelia Cosplay: My most frustrating moment was probably during con crunch, when my anxiety got the best of me. I couldn’t finish a cosplay and had to cancel it.
The Geek Lyfe: When you aren’t doing this, what do you do in your spare time?
Brookeemelia Cosplay: When I’m not cosplaying or working on cosplay, I’m normally hanging out with friends, working on my music, or doing dance covers with friends!
The Geek Lyfe: You can choose one fictional character from any universe to come to our world and be your best friend for life. Who is it and why?
Brookeemelia Cosplay: The Eleventh Doctor from Doctor Who! He’s been through so much but he still stays so positive, upbeat, and outgoing. He still wants to connect with people, even though he knows he’ll get hurt sometimes.
The Geek Lyfe: When you encounter a creative block, how do you deal with it?
Brookeemelia Cosplay: I normally have to just step back for a while, no matter how frustrated I am. I’ll find the dumbest TV show or anime I can, and binge watch part of it then get back to creating!
The Geek Lyfe: What advice do you have for any aspiring content creators out there that goes beyond the normal advice of “Don’t give up”?
Brookeemelia Cosplay: Figure out how much time, money, and effort you have to put into this. Don’t run yourself dry because of something that should be fun! Put your heart into it, but save some of your heart for other things.
