Dungeons & Dragons Knocks It Out of the Park With Their Recent D&D Live 2020: Roll w/ Advantage Charity Event!
Dungeons & Dragons has recently hosted a charity event for Red Nose Day, this event was called D&D Live: Roll with Advantage. In order to help raise funds, they had a series of sessions set up with incredible actors and entertainers from all walks of life.

People all over the world continue to stay safe by staying home, but that doesn’t mean the adventuring has to stop. Dungeons & Dragons provides a unique opportunity to adventure with friends without leaving your front door. Help celebrate that spirit of togetherness this year at D&D Live 2020: Roll w/ Advantage.
We’re bringing D&D’s brightest stars to this virtual table to preview the latest D&D storyline with live gaming sessions, all while raising money for Red Nose Day to help children affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
Red Nose Day is a campaign with the mission to end child poverty by funding programs that keep children safe, healthy, and educated.
Through the power of entertainment, we bring people together to laugh and have fun, all while raising life-changing cash for the children that need it the most.
Since our debut in 2015, we have raised over $230 million and have positively impacted over 25 million children in America, and around the world.
Here are a few of the favorites that we hope you enjoy!
Celebrity D&D
Many of us look at actors and actresses on the silver screen and assume they are far too popular and busy to ever even consider playing a game like D&D but sure enough, we got to see high profile actors like Brandon Routh, Karen Gilan, David Habour, and Pom Klementieff play a two-hour session with the one and only Chris Perkins.
#BlackAF
This was one of my favorite segments since it featured six black content creators as they address the major issues that are going on in the world today. From police brutality to racial inequality, they covered a lot of heavy topics and how it affects them even at the table. This was such a real talk that opened a lot of eyes to the problems PoC gamers face and discuss what can be done to alleviate these issues for the betterment of all.

Deborah Ann Woll’s Session
Although Mat Mercer and Chris Perkins are some extraordinary dungeon masters, my personal favorite DM is the incredible Deborah Ann Wall as she always brings such creativity and passion to her sessions.
She gathered together an awesome crew of actors to adventure with, each from shows many geeks will recognize and appreciate! Participants: Deborah, Sam Richardson, Janina Gavankar, Amy Acker, Matthew Lillard, and Jay Ellis.
Comedian D&D
One of the aspects I appreciate when it comes to tabletop RPGs us the laughs we have along the way and what better way to do that than bringing together professional comedians for two hours to game!
Participants are Sue Perkins, Kevin Sussman, Thomas Middleditch, Reggie Watts, and Melissa Villasenor.
Cast of Thrones
Bringing together cast members of Game of Thrones to play D&D! While it was great to see these actors in the show, it was even more fantastic to see all of them step into a new role and embark on an adventure of might and magic. Participants include Kristian Nairn, Daniel Portman, Iwan Rheon, Natalia Tena, and Gemma Whelan.
WWE Superstar’s Game
WWE features men and women who are swole and charming whose job it is to fight one another for glory and titles. Seeing a group of them enter a world of fantasy was brilliant! The lineup for this show is: Jeremy Crawford, and WWE Superstars Ember Moon, Xavier Woods, Alex Bliss, Dio Maddin, and Tyler Breeze.
Not to mention there was a special sneak peek at the next Baldur’s Date 3! In it, we watch cinematic where mind flayer implant helpless captives with insects. Then in the most D&D fashion, the mind flayer pilots a giant tentacle monster who rains death and destruction upon an innocent town. That is before a band of Githyanki riding dragons comes to save the day. There is also a stream of actual gameplay showcasing this new RPG and all it has to offer fans.
