Interview w/ Rey and Dominik Mysterio
Growing up there weren’t many positive Latinx role models in mainstream media. If there were, they tended to be sidekicks, criminals, or landscapers. However, Rey Mysterio stood tall, brown, and brilliant as he performed in front of thousands for the WWE. Over the years he obtained various championships, wrestled with legends, and now his son, Dominik has become a WWE Superstar as well!
Imagine my surprise when I found out I got the chance to interview the two to help promote the upcoming Smackdown that will be here in Phoenix, Arizona!\
Dominik Mysterio will be at WWE Smackdown in Arizona on Friday, August 20th, the night before SummerSlam that takes place in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, August 21st. Tickets for SummerSlam are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com
Note: I apologize for speaking a mile a minute. I was so nervous to talk to two incredible WWE superstars!
We discussed mental health, fitness, pre-match rituals, their upcoming match with The Usos, and more! Both Dominik and Rey Mysterio were so kind, welcoming, and all-around great human beings!
