Deadly Sweet Maid Cafe is a horror-themed maid cafe based in San Antonio, Texas. They are a unique western maid cafe as they regularly make and sell their own creepy cute desserts! In addition to being spooky dessert cuties, they regularly perform and attend horror-related events in their hometown. Let’s find out more about them!
Could you please introduce yourself and where you are located?
Hello, I’m Madam Macaron Head Maid of Deadly Sweet maid cafe! We are a pop-up food vending and performing maid cafe based in San Antonio, TX
What type of events do you attend?
We mostly host bake sales/performances at local events around our town. We try to cater to our menu to the type of events we sell at. But we have hosted our own pop-up cafes as well as host maid cafes for local conventions.
Where did the name and theme come from?
Our theme comes from our love of horror, the occult, urban legends, monster girls, yokai and cute desserts. We wanted to show monsters can be cute too! We are deadly but sweet.
Can you tell us about the uniform design?
Our colors are black and purple and I wanted to incorporate that into our uniforms. All of our members use accessories to show off their unique monster style.
How many members do you currently have? Do you have both maids and butlers?
We currently have 14 members. 6 maids, 3 butlers, 1 skele-merchant and 4 new maids in training
What specifically inspired you to start a cafe?
I wanted to combine both of my passions of baking/cooking for people and performing into something I can share with my community.
What’s a fun memory that occurred during an event?
It’s hard to choose just one memory but some of the most rewarding moments are seeing our guests genuinely enjoy the service we provide them.
Do you have a favorite convention or event that you have been to?
Our favorite event to do is Monster-con. It’s a horror-themed convention that happens once a year. Everyone comes dressed in their favorite horror monsters so we feel right at home.
How is the group staying active during these tough times?
We are working on new recipes and dances so we can be prepared once we can start doing events again. We are also looking into providing some online exclusive content soon!
Will this be a first-time venture into online content, or does the cafe have experience with live content?
We have a few YouTubers and streamers in our group but we mostly post our live performances or dance covers on our social media.
Where can we find you online?
We post updates on all of our social media and website!
