Need Spoopy Content? VRV Has You Covered!

Oh October! It is such a fine month that causes any sane geek to crave watching, reading, or playing content that is meant to disturb you. There is a sick satisfaction from drowning yourself in stress and tension until you feel as though you are about to lose your mind, and then it climaxes with you jumping out of your chair and yelling uncontrollably at some unspeakable horror that just assaulted your senses. After this moment passes you laugh to yourself at just how engrossed you were and although the content makes you uncomfortable, you just can not help but keep watching until the end.

Well, I have good news for you! The fine folks at VRV have loaded their service with a ton of great horror content!

VRV is the one-stop-shop SVOD platform, and it’s streaming all things bizarre + terrifying just in time for Halloween. The combo pack with Shudder (AMC Networks’ horror streaming service) + other channels is perfect for anyone looking to get their tricks + treats this October (and beyond for thrills year round).

Something isn’t quite right. There are more people in town than there should be. Is everyone really who they say they are? People have started dying one by one and the only solution is to find out who doesn’t belong and kill them. But it’ll be okay since they use logic and sound reasoning to narrow the list down that way no one has to get harmed except the extra person, right?

Little town… it is a quiet village. Every day, like the one beforeeeee! Little town full of little people waking up to saaaaaay: PEOPLE ARE DYING AND WE DON’T KNOW WHY. IT ALL STARTED WHEN THOSE MYSTERIOUS PEOPLE MOVED IN AND DEAR GOD WHY DO CERTAIN CHARACTERS HAVE PHYSICS SHATTERING HAIR STYLES AND HUGE EYES YET NO ONE MAKES ANY COMMENTS ON THIS?

They soon find themselves in a real-life horror film as the evil entity from their film begins to show up in their behind-the-scenes footage. From Shudder.
Spookers (10.26): This funny and charming documentary shows us the real lives of the frighteners at an infamous and hugely popular horror theme park at an old hospital in New Zealand. Years after a catastrophic performance, he reappears in public for a long-awaited concert in Chicago. In a packed theater, in front of an expectant audience, Tom finds a message written on the score: “Play one wrong note and you die”. From Shudder.
Bizarre States (ongoing series): This one’s a podcast! From week to week, hosts Jessica Chobot and Andrew Bowser probe the world’s mysteries, the weird, the occult, and more with personal experiences, guest stories and expert opinion. From Nerdist.

Day 5 (ongoing series): Day 5 is the first dramatic series from Rooster Teeth Productions, set in the immediate aftermath of a fatal sleep epidemic. After a fortuitous drug bender saves his life, addict Jake (Jesse C. Boyd) ventures out into the quiet streets… unaware that most of the world already died in their beds. Now, battling sleepless fatigue and encroaching delirium, Jake teams with a scrappy teenager (Walker Satterwhite), overnight doctor (Stephanie Drapeau) and red-eye pilot (Davi Jay) to search for answers… and just maybe find a way to sleep again. Set in a world of insomniacs, late-shift workers and roving psychotics, Day 5 presents a unique vision of the apocalypse that fuses serial drama and thriller around a human story of survival and redemption. From Rooster Teeth Productions.
