Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr Approaches!

If there is one franchise I, Darth Mexican, love it is Warhammer 40k. There is something appealing about a grim darkness in the far future where there is only war. A future where the galaxy is nothing but horrible situations and overwhelming odds thanks to hordes of giant Orks, hive mind Tyranids, and unholy Chaos Gods. Although I am sure it wouldn’t be a pleasant experience to live in that universe, I don’t mind getting a taste of the war torn galaxy via gaming.

You can imagine my excitement when I found out about a new game called Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr! The folks over at Neocore Games took on the task of bringing fans a dungeon crawling play style similar to Diablo or Path of Exile and drowning it in sci-fi action RPG goodness.

Enter the Chaos-infested Caligari Sector and purge the unclean with the most powerful agents of the Imperium of Man.
Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr is a grim Action-RPG featuring multiple classes of the Inquisition who will carry out the will of the Emperor even in the darkest reaches of the Imperium

After praying to the Emperor, we reached out to Neocore Games to give us early access. Sure enough, the Emperor smiles upon us as they granted our request! I have poured so many hours into Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr, soaking in tons of its features and have to say that it is a lot of fun!

From my initial impression, what I expected was a game where you fight Chaos cultists, traitors to the one true Emperor of Man who you serve, and all while running around danger filled spaceships that are on the verge of exploding. The play style would have been pressing buttons and my character would shoot or swing at bad guys until I or they died. I would be introduced with a set of conflicts that only I could resolve in a linear fashion with some optional side quests.

What I got was all of this and more! I was pleased to find the game has a healthy amount of voice acting, armor/weapon customization, a leveling system, co-op game play, and a mess of other goodies! You can tell Neocore Games set their sights high with this game by the sheer amount of options available in it. Not to mention that you have the option of playing one of three distinct classes with its own set of play styles!

The biggest issue currently is the release date. Although we’ve been presented with various dates in the past, the game continues to be delayed. The game released for PC on June 5th!

Even in early access, I had a blast playing it so I am excited to see what updates the game will have once it goes live officially! Be sure to check out more information on Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr at Neocore Games!
