What Can We Expect from Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin?
Fans of role-playing games will be keen to see what the latest adventure based on Final Fantasy is about. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is due out in March this year, but what can we expect from it?

The Background
The Stranger of Paradise game has been created by Koei Tecmo Games and Team Ninja, with Square Enix set to publish it. This is an alternate universe version of the incredibly popular Final Fantasy series of games. It will be brought out on a variety of formats, for devices such as the PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series X/S, and Windows PCs.
The game plays out in a dark fantasy setting where Jack Garland and other characters like Ash and Jed have been brought together in this world to destroy Chaos. You may remember Chaos as being the demon who acts as the final boss that players encounter in the original Final Fantasy game.
As an action RPG, Stranger of Paradise involves combat scenes as well as the chance to explore the world and use magic. It was originally conceived as a stand-alone title but has been added into the Final Fantasy series but with a new storyline and a darker theme.
We first saw some of the images for this new game in E3 2021, after which a limited-time demo version was released. This trial gave players the chance to try the game and provide feedback on how it could be improved.

The Currently Popularity of RPGs
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see this latest Final Fantasy game become as big a hit as some of the earlier games in the series. As well as the powerful reputation of Final Fantasy and the millions of existing players who have enjoyed it, the current popularity of RPGs should ensure that it gains a lot of attention upon release.
New role-playing games set to be released in 2022 include Elex II by Piranhas Bytes, Palworld from Pocket Pair, and Babylon’s Fall, which is also from Square Enix. This follows on from the success in recent years of games such as Borderlands 2, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and Disco Elysium.
A strong fantasy element has also made its way into other genres, such as online slots.
