Is Warmonger in dire need of some nerfs?

Intro

We all know For Honor, this dynamic and ever-changing action brawler has been out since 2017 and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. There have been many additions of characters, with each one of them finds a part to play in our beloved game.

Lately, there is a character that has been raising some questions around her. Questions like, “how the hell is that possible?”, “you think he was cheating?”, “what’s the point of life” and more like them. As you can guess from the title, this hero is Warmonger. She is one of the latest additions to the For Honor roster, and is ranked accordingly in this ProClockers Tier List.  A female Knight that can destroy her opponents with a very versatile toolkit of attacks and seemingly no effort.

The Warmonger’s Power

The main problem the characters have is how strong her superior lights are but as well as how good the frame data are. Also, with these crazy light attacks, she can easily combo into a bash, not giving any breathing space for the enemy. Her feats are one of the things that make her so Overpower (OP). She can stop an entire team from moving by using her feat and there is no other feat that is as useful as hers at the moment. Add to all of that her corruption, and you have yourself a recipe for a hero that is questionable in the community of For Honor.

So, by reading all these things you would say that she is an overpowered hero that needs a nerf?

Some suggest that there is nothing you can do against her. But this is not exactly the case. She indeed has a very strong toolkit, but if there are many ways you can play around her moves. So to suggest that she needs a nerf is a really quick assumption, especially taking into account that she hasn’t been around for so long.

Does Warmonger Need a Nerf?

The short answer is no!

What we suggest, is that we give some time to the community to play against her more and get the opportunity to play with her. Like every character in For Honor, there is the balancing factor that is called skill-cap. Her moves might be as strong as we said, but to execute all of them correctly you need a lot of practice with this hero. There is also the option of picking a specific hero that can counter her abilities.

Just get into the battlefield and start practicing your moves against her. You will see that with time, it will become easier and easier to land your hits against her. Gaming, and especially competitive gaming, is a process that takes a lot of time investment, but most importantly, mental investment. If you want to succeed, you have to risk both of those.

Keep trying my friends! Keep trying.
