Viva La Dirt League Launches “NPC D&D” A Table Top Video Series

Dungeons and Dragons

The fine New Zealand folks over at Viva La Dirt League, who are famous for their spot on MMO parody series Epic NPC Man and “Logic“, series have answered the prayers of many by coming out with their own Dungeons & Dragons video series! Unlike their other content, this new show called, NPC D&D, has the cast actually playing D&D over the course of various episodes.

If you have never seen content from Viva La Dirt League, enjoy!

The cast for NPC D&D is made up of Britt Scott Clark, Alan Morrison, Adam King, Rowan Bettjeman, and Robert Hartley. They actually use their characters from Epic NPC Man including the iconic Garlic Farmer which is really fun! A majority of the cast had not played D&D prior to the series which makes the content all that more enjoyable! What separates this series from the countless other D&D projects out there are two major factors: Quality of content and this is officially sponsored by Wizards of the Coast themselves to promote Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus!

Viva La Dirt League are veterans of comedy and gaming, they know exactly how to entertain. Their jokes are great, their chemistry is pristine, the pacing is smooth and it is all around a great production. If NPC D&D was just them gathered around a table playing, it would still be epic BUT these mad lads and lady have gone even further to include minor cut scenes where they dress up as their characters. That means that they  had to first play the game, then review what happened, and go on to act out those scenes. That is a lot of hard work and effort by the team to add even more polish on an already fantastic show.

Getting Wizards of the Coast’s support is just plain cool. You can tell the crew is going to put their all into this series because it is so high caliber in the geek world and may even lead to other D&D projects if this goes well! This first episode is a lot of fun and sold me on the first five minutes. I am stoked for NPC D&D and you absolutely should be as well!
